On Sleeping Again in My Childhood Bed

These rooms are all
smaller
than I remember.

The life,
captured within these
plain but sturdy walls,
was smaller than
I remember too.

Tucking myself in,
feet hanging past the
foot board,
I realize I've outgrown
my modest beginnings,

and I am
simultaneously
proud and sad.

  3. It would indeed be kind of an eerie feeling to sleep in my childhood bed....and as Angieinspired said, 'bittersweet.' Well expressed, Mosk.
