and build
their bodies
into monuments
of self-discipline
and sheer will power.

worthy of awe
and admiration,
but some display

Those who graffiti
their bodies
until they've no more
skin left uninked,
display the worst

ReplyDeleteIs vanity the worst kind of vice? I'll need to think on that one.
ReplyDeleteJust last night my family was watching America's Funniest Home Videos and the most hilarious video (I could not stop laughing, truly) was a guy making a fitness video who hit himself in the face not once but twice with the stretchy fitness equipment thingy. OMG I am giggling now just thinking about it. Hah!
I think vanity is something more to ridicule.. sin maybe but there might be worse I think.
ReplyDeleteI could not agree with you more. I do despise tattoos generally, but those who tattoo their whole body do not impress me.
