(perhaps, dream)
that if there is a
Heaven,
Swing Out Sister
plays on a continuous,
comforting silky loop
for all eternity,
the warm synths
whooshing slowly,
the kettledrums
gently thundering,
and
since this is my
version of heaven,
I will not have
to explain why
Swing Out Sister
is playing
to anyone
there.

I have to say, without any idea of Swing Out Sister, I love the way this rolls itself out--really seems to tell all there is to tell about what heaven is--one's own personal one--and surely the last stanza says it all. Thanks so much for swinging along with a 55, Mosk. And as we say a la the g-man, have a kickass weekend.
ReplyDeleteHappily and thanks. SOS had a few mid-sized hits in the 1980s-90s. They just released their latest crowdfunded cd and I loved it.
DeleteAs long as it's not the Biebs, I'm good.
ReplyDeleteI don't really know JB too much, but I love that song "Love Yourself." That's a great record.
DeleteYes, it is your heaven. Play what you wish. :) Oh, I looked them up..sounds like some happy dance music in your heaven.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like something to check out...
