The shooting today in San Bernardino was at Inland Regional Center, where my daughter has been a client since 3 months old. It's less than 20 miles from my house. It's a quiet agency that helps developmentally disabled people get connected to social services. Who the fuck would want to kill anyone there? Thankfully, my daughter wasn't there today. My love and prayers to those who lost loved ones.
I couldn't believe my eyes when I heard the news. I'm so glad your daughter is ok, but I am so sorry for all the people who aren't...and I'm so upset with the NRA idiots, particularly Wayne LaPierre.
Where indeed! Putting aside the idiocy that is Wayne LaPierre, your poem is full of the energy of pain. So glad your daughter wasn't there, and wish no one was. I can imagine many more poems growing from the travesty of the attack on the facility and people. Your first stanza is devastating.
I can hardly believe how many shootings...........it is an epidemic. Horrifying. OMG, I just read your comment about being so closely involved with this center. So sorry, Buddah, this hits very close to home for you. For anyone who cherishes life.
It is indeed a terrible occurance. Why? We may never know but I am glad your daughter is safe. Wayne always looks so angry. Yes, where is he? Again, so grateful your daughter is safe.

This is such terrible news... negative energy tends to affect several people which in turn leads to chaos. Good to know that your daughter is safe.
ReplyDeleteLots of love,
Sanaa
Thanks, the negative energy can be overwhelming.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Toni. This happened only about 20 minutes from where I live. I feel violated.
Deletelike everywhere, is safety an illusion in a country like the usa i wonder...so glad your daughter wasn't there...hope good sense prevails....
ReplyDeleteThanks, yes, safety may be an illusion, but there are certainly things that can be done to diminish this reckless destruction.
DeleteOh no! I am so glad your daughter is safe, but who's next? The world is an angry,
ReplyDeletedangerous place, and Wayne, in my opinion, is a selfish idiot.
Thanks, and yes, most gun nuts are.
DeleteTerrible and truer than we might wish it to be... and things will continue that way until we snap out of it.
ReplyDeleteGlad to know that your daughter is safe but feel sad to to the other victims. I hope this kind of senseless killings will stop. ASAP
