smell that
“New Baby”
smell,
but there is
overwhelming peace,
warm, breathing bliss
in holding him,
my grandson.
This is my greatest
challenge:
to be
completely present,
and enjoy him
now
instead of
dreaming of
all the times
we have
to come.

Beautiful poem and intention to stay present.
ReplyDeleteLovely! I have this to look forward to in March! :)
ReplyDeletePrecious moments!
ReplyDeleteBeing completely present is hard in general because our awareness drifts and we forget where we are.
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet poem and I love the picture. Oliver is a handsome little lad. Toni Spencer is Kanzensakura
